Our Practice has been engaged by City West to assess and improve the communal areas of a number of their sheltered housing projects in conjunction with and overall programme of cyclical and decency works.

The schemes are all designated for over 55s residents and are therefore designed to meet their specific needs; including door entry systems with concierge facilities, automatic doors, sheltered external spaces and secure boundary treatments which featured high up on the resident’s wish lists.

Client: City West Housing Trust

Value: £325,000

Completed: November 2011

Location: Pendlebury, Salford

Corporate image was an important element of the brief by re-branding these ex-Council buildings and give our Client a presence in the community:

  • Limited palette of high quality materials
  • External spaces landscaped to assist in the well-being of the residents
  • Consistency of company logos, colourways and signage
  • ‘Hotel-like’ feel to all communal areas
  • Instantly recognisable as City West schemes.
