NEW HALL COMPETITION, LIVERPOOL
Our proposal was to recreate the formal boulevard of the pre war years by replanting trees and reinstating the original boundaries and gates to the street frontages.
A new gateway feature was proposed, in consultation with the Conservation Department, to reinforce the new, reinvigorated, community. The central road area will be broken down and paved to facilitate safe pedestrian access, and a section adjacent to the Hall closed to traffic to provide an amenity area and link to the new village green.
